House Page Program

*Applications will begin to be processed for the 2020 Legislative Session on
Wednesday, January 8, 2020

Welcome to the Georgia House of Representatives’ Page Program, an exclusive opportunity offering Georgia’s students between 12 and 18 years of age and older to visit the State Capitol and serve the members of the House of Representatives. This program has become an essential part of the services provided to both the legislators and the public. For over 50 years, the experience of a legislative page has sparked many political aspirations and has been a connective link between elected leaders and Georgia’s young students.

  • Pages must be at least 12 years of age at the time of application to serve.
  • Students can only serve as a Page once per legislative session.
  • Your application must be submitted to your Representative's Administrative Assistant (see instructions below in How to Apply).  Your form will then be processed and sent to the House Page Staff.
  • The first day of the 2020 legislative session is Monday, January 13.  Please note that the House meets for 40 days, but these may not be consecutive days.  Please list your preferred dates on your form, but note that these days may change depending upon the session schedule.  Thank you in advance for your flexibility.

  • By visiting Find Your Lawmaker and entering your address into the search bar you will be able to find your state representative.
  • Once you know your representative’s name, visit the Georgia House of Representatives website and click on your representative’s name to locate his or her State Capitol office information.
  • Complete the Page Interest Form and email or fax  to your Representative’s Administrative Assistant to the email address or fax number listed for his or her State Capitol office.
  • After your interest form has been reviewed and approved by House Page Staff, you will be contacted by your Representative's Administrative Assistant confirming which date has been selected for you to page.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §20-2-692, "children who serve as pages of the General Assembly during the school year, either at regular or special sessions, shall be credited as present by the school in which enrolled in the same manner as an educational field trip, and such participation as a page shall not be counted as an absence, either excused or unexcused."
